Why become an NCS ENLS Trainer?

After you complete the online Emergency Neurological Life Support (ENLS) Course, you have the option of becoming a certified ENLS trainer. As a certified trainer, you gain access to the ENLS Trainer slide decks and are eligible to represent the Neurocritical Care Society by hosting a live course at your institution.

In addition, you have the option of being included on the NCS roster of certified ENLS Trainers. If you grant permission, your name and contact information will be made available to institutions seeking trainers for hosting live ENLS courses. Your contact information would not be posted to any website. It would only be sent out via email to individuals seeking certified ENLS trainers.

There are a variety of ways that the ENLS Course can be implemented at your institution. These options include individual, self-paced online training; group purchases of online course codes at a reduced rate; and live courses for those who desire a more interactive approach. For detailed information on these options, view our Course Options document.

Please contact ENLS@neurocriticalcare.org  or call (952) 456-8392 for assistance in planning your course.

Steps to becoming an NCS ENLS Trainer:

1) Complete the online ENLS Course and pass the exams at 70% or higher within the last two years. If you have not passed within this time frame, please purchase and pass the ENLS Recertification Course.

2) Be a current member of the Neurocritical Care Society.

3) Purchase the Train-the-Trainer Course and pass the exams at 70% or higher.

4) eSign the trainer agreement at the end of the trainer course.

Once steps 1-4 are complete, please notify NCS at ENLS@neurocriticalcare.org to receive access to the trainer slide decks.
