Corewell Health’s Department of Neurological Health is seeking to add a Neurointensivist to their fellowship-trained physician and dedicated advanced practice provider care team.  This position is 100% neurocritical care and participates in the Joint Commission certified Comprehensive Stroke Center which is the largest in Michigan.  This unit is located at Butterworth Hospital which is a Level I Trauma Center in Grand Rapids, Michigan.  Butterworth Hospital also serves as a Level 4 epilepsy center.  This position offers a desirable shift-based schedule with APP coverage inhouse overnight.  

This is a clinical position that includes teaching neurovascular fellows, neurology residents and medical students with faculty appointments through Michigan State University.  Robust Grand Round opportunities are available for CME/MOC. Spectrum Health Butterworth Hospital is a hub for regional stroke and trauma network in West Michigan.

• Neuro ICU:  14 beds

• Annual Stroke Volume: 1500+

• Annual intravenous thrombolysis Volume: 150+

• Annual Thrombectomy Volume: 150+

• Annual SAH Volume:  50+

• Annual TBI Volume:  1000 

Requirements:  MD or DO, BC/BE Neurology and BC/BE Neurocritical Care, Fellowship training is required. Will consider Internal Medicine or Emergency Medicine with Neurocritical Care Fellowship training pathway
