Date Begin: 3/4/2025
Company: CarePoint Blue Sky Neurosciences
Department: Neurocritical Care
Position: Full Time Neurointensivist
Region: CO
Salary Range: 350,000-446,000
Contact Name: Hannah Duncan

We are looking for a motivated and dynamic, fellowship-trained neurocritical care neurologist interested in a physician-owned and operated private practice. Join CarePoint Blue Sky Neurosciences and become part of Denver’s premier neurocritical care/neurology group, delivering advanced neurocritical care across multiple hospitals in the metro area.

This full-time Neurointensivist position follows a dedicated neurocritical care schedule, with additional earning potential through telestroke, tele-neurocritical care, and neurohospitalist shifts as desired.

Why Join Us?

  • High-Volume, Complex Cases:
    • Swedish (HCA hospital system) houses an 18 bed closed NeuroICU. It has a long history of clinical excellence, and it was the first comprehensive stroke center in the mountain region. This site is the tertiary referral center for around 70 hospitals and freestanding ERs in the region and manages 1200+ strokes per year.
    • We have a consult service at a 16 bed open NeuroICU housed at Lutheran (Intermountain hospital system) with around 500 strokes, 100+ thrombectomies, 25-35 SAH, 100 ICH, and a growing neurotrauma population we help manage
    • We have a new consult service at The Medical Center of Aurora (HCA hospital system) which has a high rate of cardiac arrest, as well as trauma
    • We pride ourselves on being academically minded, with an active and nimble approach to implementation of data
  • Team-Based Approach: We collaborate closely with neurointerventional radiology, neurosurgery, and cardiology to provide seamless, rapid, and cutting-edge care.
  • Physician-Owned & Operated: We make decisions based on what is best for our patients and providers—not corporate interests.
  • Teaching Opportunities: We actively support an ACGME-accredited neurology residency program and a vascular neurology fellowship, offering opportunities to teach

Work Schedule & Locations

  • Full-time schedule: Approximately 160 shifts per year (25% evenings/nights).
  • 8-week rotation through:
    • Swedish Medical Center (closed-unit Neuro-ICU, primary service)
    • Lutheran Medical Center (consult service)
    • The Medical Center of Aurora (consult service)
  • Mix of 3-7 day stretches, including 3-4 overnight shifts per month at Swedish, with stroke alert coverage.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base Salary: $350,000 guaranteed
  • Additional Earning Potential: Telemedicine, extra shifts, teaching, and administrative roles
  • 3-Year Partnership Track: Income potential up to $446,000, with cash balance and deferral options
  • Sign-on Bonus Available
  • Comprehensive Benefits Package: Health insurance, 401(k), CME allowance, paid malpractice insurance, medical licensure & DEA allowance

Role & Responsibilities

  • Manage critically ill patients in the Neuro-ICU at Swedish Medical Center, including those with stroke, subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH), brain hemorrhage, trauma, and neurosurgical conditions.
  • Work in a closed-unit model, ensuring directed, consistent, and specialized neurocritical care.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of neurointensivists and certified neurosciences nurses to provide state-of-the-art, protocol-driven critical care.

Join Our Team!

At CarePoint Blue Sky Neurosciences, we are committed to fostering an inclusive, collaborative, and fulfilling work environment where you can thrive both professionally and personally. If you are passionate about neurocritical care, education, and innovation, we would love to hear from you!
