Duties & Responsibilities
• Leadership & Administration: Oversee the division’s strategic growth, faculty recruitment, and program development while ensuring alignment with departmental and institutional goals.
• Clinical Excellence: Supervise and enhance stroke and cerebrovascular care, develop clinical programs, and lead quality improvement initiatives.
• Research & Scholarship: Maintain an independent, funded research program, foster collaborations, mentor faculty and trainees in scholarly work, and secure extramural research funding.
• Education & Mentorship: Provide leadership in resident, fellow, and medical student education, including training and mentorship.
• Institutional & National Engagement: Represent vascular neurology at institutional, regional, and national levels, advocate for resources, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.
• Financial & Operational Oversight: Manage division finances, optimize clinical and research revenue, and ensure compliance with accreditation and regulatory standards.
Minimum Qualifications
• MD, MD/PhD, or DO degree
• Board certification in Neurology and Vascular Neurology
• Eligible for unrestricted medical license in Arizona
• Leadership experience in an academic setting
