Neurologist – Specialist in Neurocritical Care
Excellent opportunity at a large academic medical center! The Neurocritical Care Division of Brown Neurology is currently growing and is seeking an additional full time Neurointensivist to staff our high acuity 18 bed Neurocritical Care Unit at Rhode Island Hospital, the state’s only Level 1 Trauma Center. The closed unit is staffed with a diverse mix of advanced practice providers, neurology, neurosurgery, and anesthesia residents. Collaboration with the Warren Alpert Medical School provides ample opportunities for educating the next generation of medical trainees. As the only Neurocritical Care unit in the state, faculty will enhance their clinical skills by taking on challenging cases and will enjoy working as a team with outstanding neurosurgery and vascular neurology teams.
The successful candidate must be board certified or board eligible in neurology and neurocritical care. She/he will qualify for appointment at the Assistant, Associate, or Professor level at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. The individual selected must also have a record of accomplishment, promise as a teacher and as a clinician while also having a record of accomplishments pertinent to the academic rank of initial appointment.
