Description:
Established academic 15-bed Neurosciences ICU with 4 APPs (2 NPs and 2 PAs) is seeking 2 additional PAs or NPs. Experience in critical care or the neurosciences is preferred, but not required. In fact, 2 of our 4 APPs were trained by us in the specifics of NCC for few months. APPs work alongside a team of 2 very experienced neurointensivists, who are leaders in NCC and NCS. They also round with residents and, soon to start, fellows. The Neurosciences-ICU team works in shifts covering days, nights, 24/7. Afterhours support of the APPs by the neurointensivists over the phone or in-person (if needed) is standard. The practice, in addition to patient care in the Neuro-ICU, will include participation in research studies, educational activities for the medical students, residents and 2 fellows per year. We have a 15-bed state-of-the-art Neurosciences Intensive Care Unit hosting a latest generation CT scan and we work together with the Neurosurgery, SICU, and Trauma colleagues in a collegial environment.
