Gainesville, Florida
The University of Florida Neurocritical Care group is recruiting advance practice providers to join our team. The UF NeuroICU is a 27-bed neuroscience intensive care unit providing state-of-the-art compassionate care for neurocritically ill patients. Experience in critical care or the neuroscience field is preferred, but not required as our comprehensive and highly specialized onboarding program is designed to prepare you to become an expert in the field of neurocritical care. Our APPs work alongside 8 board-certified neurointensivists each with unique and specific academic interests, 5 neurocritical care fellows, and several subspecialty resident rotators. The UF NeuroICU team works in shifts covering days and nights, 24/7. APPs are supported by neurocritical care fellows in-person and by attending neurointensivists, both in-person and over the phone afterhours. In addition to clinical activities, our APPs have several opportunities for career development, including scientific writing, mentoring, and engagement in clinical trials, and educational activities for housestaff and the UF community at-large. We encourage attendance to Neurocritical Care Society and Society of Critical Care Medicine annual meetings, with funding support available.
