Description:
The Department of Neurology, University of California Davis, School of Medicine, is recruiting a cerebrovascular neurologist for a full-time faculty position.

Currently, UC Davis Medical Center is an advanced primary stroke center operating as a comprehensive stroke center moving forward with certification within the next year. The medical center provides 24 hours/7 day coverage for neuro-endovascular procedures, neurocritical care ICU support, neurovascular neurosurgery, RN stroke coordinators, and a well established telestroke/ teleneurology network. Faculty work closely with active residency programs in Neurology, neurosurgery, as well as participate in Neurocritical Care clinical education. Submission for an ACGME-approved Vascular Neurology fellowship is anticipated within the next 12 months.

The position is available in either the Health Sciences Clinical Professor or Clinical X series at the Assistant, Associate or Full Professor level. In both the Health Science Clinical Professor and Clinical X series, the faculty member will provide inpatient and outpatient clinical care; teach medical students, residents and fellows; and provide university/public service. The level of appointment will be commensurate with credentials.

Candidates must possess an MD or DO degree, be board certified in Neurology by the ABPN, and have the ability to obtain a California medical license. The ability to work cooperatively and collegially within a diverse environment is required. Preferred candidates include those with fellowship training in Vascular Neurology; board certification or eligibility in Vascular Neurology and/or Neurocritical Care. Neurohospitalists with sufficient Vascular Neurology training/experience board certified in Neurology will be considered.
