The Department of Neurology at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center is seeking an experienced, licensed Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to partner with multidisciplinary Neurology, Neurosurgery and Critical Care physicians as they care for Neurocritical care patients admitted to the newly created Neurological intensive care unit. The Associate Provider will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team of physicians, advanced practitioners, nurses, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, physical therapists and other specialties in the Neurological Intensive Care Unit. The Associate Provider should be willing to work in a fast paced and collaborative environment and will have a strong interest in the longitudinal care of critically ill neurological patients. 

The primary responsibility of the Associate Provider is the direct application of clinical expertise to patients and families being managed in a tertiary care teaching medical center, including responsibility for maintaining quality of care standards for all procedures performed and all clinical care provided in the critical care setting. 

The Associate Provider will be fully integrated into the ongoing functions of the Neurological ICU, such as research projects, teaching rounds, quality improvement projects and resident and student education.

Requirements for Nurse Practitioners:
• RN and APRN currently licensed in NH 
• Graduate of an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner's Master's Program

Requirements for Physician Assistants:
• Current certification to practice as a Physician's Assistant in the state of NH
• Academic preparation at the Master's level
