The Department of Critical Care Medicine at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center is actively seeking Neurointensivists to join our faculty as we are expanding our services across the UPMC Health Services System.
We have opportunities for clinicians, clinician-educators and clinician scientists available at multiple UPMC facilities, which each have different clinical environments. This is an outstanding opportunity for participation in active program development and growth. Academic rank and salary will be commensurate with experience and training.
The Critical Care Department at the University of Pittsburgh is the first of its kind in the country and includes more than 70 full-time faculty members. It employs intensivists trained in Neurology, IM, EM, Anesthesia, Surgery and Pulmonary /CCM and provides 24x7 critical care coverage to over 190 ICU beds in 4 institutions. The University of Pittsburgh Multidisciplinary Critical Care Training Program trains greater than twenty-five fellows per year and has trained more than 700 fellows since its inception more than 30 years ago.
