The Mount Sinai Health System is recruiting for four dynamic, collaborative clinician-researchers and clinician-educators to join our current team of 7 Neurointensivists. The Neurocritical Care (NCC) division fully staffs and runs two Neurosciences ICUs (NSICUs): a completely new construction state of the art 18 bed unit occupying an entire floor in The Mount Sinai Hospital (MSH) and a very modern 14 bed NSICU at Mount Sinai West (MSW). In addition, we oversee Neurocritical care across our entire health system. We have integrated central nervous system disease-specific centers at each hospital for SAH, ICH, Emergent large vessel occlusion, epilepsy, movement disorders, malignant and benign skull base tumors, pediatric neurosurgery, trauma and others. Our Neurocritical care division has developed an innovative new program-NeuroEmergencies Management and Transfers (NEMAT) and Telehealth initiatives to ensure that time-dependent treatments are projected to sites where patients arrive, resource-intensive treatments are focused in centers of excellence. Educational and research conferences are fully integrated between campuses. This is a transformational opportunity for highly motivated junior faculty as well as accomplished faculty. Leadership opportunities are available for programs in intra-operative electrophysiological monitoring, neurocritical care hospitalist services, clinical research and education. Each faculty member receives dedicated mentorship for career and research development from senior faculty members within the Departments of Neurosurgery, Neurology and the Institute for Critical Care Medicine (ICCM).

Mount Sinai is the number one institution in the United States in NIH funding for Neurosciences. Our neurosurgical clinical research coordinator team of over 25 full-time personnel supports one of the most productive clinical research efforts in the country. All new faculty are supported to participate in and contribute to these efforts.

The Mount Sinai Health System is an equal opportunity employer. We promote recognition and respect for individual and cultural differences, and we work to make our employees feel valued and appreciated, whatever their race, gender, background, or sexual orientation.
