The Department of Neurology and Rehabilitation at University of Illinois at Chicago is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Neurocritical Care physician to join the institution as a Clinical Associate or Assistant Professor in the Research career pathway or a Clinical Professor in Clinician Educator line. Faculty rank will be determined by the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate.
Interested candidates will ideally be mid-career physician-scientists with a record of publications and funding. Candidates with strong research interests and a defined research career path are also encouraged to apply. Our Department of Neurology is committed to excellence in clinical care, research, and education. The Neurocritical Care Division has established multiple collaborations with other Departments cross campus (e.g. Neurosurgery, Epidemiology, Biomedical Engineering etc.).
Clinical responsibilities involve the care of neurology and neurosurgery patients in our 24-bed state of the art Critical Care Unit at University of Illinois Medical Center in Chicago. Other duties involve an active participation in synergy with our research collaborative, and teaching our UIC fellows, residents and medical students. In addition, involvement in academic departmental activities is required.Qualifications
Candidates must have an MD or equivalent. Fellowship training in neurocritical care is required. Necessary qualifications include board certification or eligibility (ABPN).Application Process
