Colleagues:

The Neurocritical Care Society Board of Directors is pleased to announce that Mindy Saraco has been named the new executive director for the organization. In her role, Mindy will lead the organization’s headquarters staff operations and will be responsible for the implementation of NCS’ strategic priorities. In addition, Mindy appreciates our high expectations of service excellence, organization, and staff accountability.

This is an exciting time of growth for NCS that requires strong leadership. Over the last three months, the NCS Executive Committee has been conducting a rigorous process to vet and interview candidates for our new executive director. We are excited to welcome Mindy, who brings a strong knowledge of the healthcare field, both clinical and academic. She has a proven track record of turning collaborative strategic thinking into actionable plans; we see this as the right combination for the Society’s future direction.

Mindy brings more than 20 years of experience in working with nonprofit organizations. Prior to joining NCS, Mindy served as the Managing Director, Scientific & Medical Affairs for the American Diabetes Association. Additionally, Mindy’s prior association experience includes the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and the American Academy of Family Physicians. Mindy holds a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree from Georgetown University.

Please help me welcome Mindy Saraco. If you have any questions, please reach out to me directly or you may also contact Mindy at msaraco@neurocriticalcare.org or 202-367-2449
