Banner - University Medical Group is seeking a motivated Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our vibrant team in the Neurocritical Care Unit at Banner University Medical Center Tucson (BUMCT). Recognized as a Joint Commission certified Comprehensive Stroke Center and a Level I Trauma Center, BUMCT provides an enriching environment for healthcare professionals. Although prior experience in inpatient and acute care is advantageous, we welcome candidates eager to learn through on-the-job training. A background in neuroscience or critical care is preferred, alongside an appreciation for a collaborative approach to patient care.
This role allows Advanced Practice Providers to engage deeply in patient care, including the execution of therapeutic procedures, interpretation of diagnostic tests, medication prescription, and patient education. It offers a nurturing atmosphere for skill enhancement in critical care and neurology patient management.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Must have a current or ability to obtain, unrestricted license as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in the state of Arizona.
- Must have certification from a recognized board (AANP, ANCC for NPs; NCCPA for PAs).
- DEA license, BLS, ACLS certification
- Preferably have post-graduate training or a strong clinical background in Neurology or Neurocritical Care.
- Preferred ENLS training (can be acquired within the first month of employment)

As an APP, this position is involved in the clinical management of patients, performance of therapeutic and diagnostic procedures, interpretation of diagnostic tests, prescription of medications, and education. The position offers a supportive environment with growth opportunities to learn and improve critical care skills as well as developing expertise in the management of patients with a range of neurologic diagnoses.
