About the HEARD Center

The HEARD Center envisions a future where disparities in neurocritical care no longer exist, and every patient — regardless of race, gender identity, socio-economic status or geography—receives the highest quality of care. By championing underrepresented voices, advancing groundbreaking research and building pathways to leadership, we aim to create a healthcare landscape that reflects the diversity of the communities we serve and ensures equity for all.

The HEARD Center was founded in 2024 in honor of the legacy and memory of Dr. Galen Henderson, MD, FNCS.
