COURSE DESCRIPTIONS:
May 7, 2026 - Pressure Matters: Mastering Vasoactive Infusions in Neurocritical Care Nursing
This session is designed to deepen the understanding of hemodynamic management in the acutely brain injured patient for the neurocritical care nurse. This presentation explores how targeted vasoactive strategies support cerebral perfusion, prevent secondary brain injury, and optimize patient outcomes.
May 21, 2026 - MRI Fundamentals and Brain MRI Interpretation for the Neurocritical Care APP
This session is designed to give a basic overview of MRI functions and interpretation of brain MRI for Neurocritical Care APPs. This Masterclass will feature concise didactic presentations as well as interactive case discussions, polling and panel review of cases.
May 28, 2026 - Mastering Intracerebral Hemorrhage: Evidence, Execution, and Evolving Treatment Strategies in Neurocritical Care
This session will provide an in-depth, interprofessional exploration of contemporary intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH) care, tailored for neurocritical care physicians, nurses, advanced practice providers, and pharmacists. Faculty will review current evidence and guidelines, practical bedside management strategies, and systems-based approaches to delivering timely, coordinated ICH care across settings. Through case-based discussion and real-world implementation pearls, participants will examine evolving therapies and consider how best to integrate these advances into everyday neurocritical care practice.
June 4, 2026 - B-Mode and Transcranial Color Doppler: A Case-Based Approach
This session provides a focused overview of B-mode and transcranial color Doppler imaging of the brain. Participants will first briefly review basic ultrasound principles. Thereafter cases in which B-mode imaging will be presented highlighting practical image acquisition, vessel and anatomy identification, and interpretation of pathology relevant to bedside and neurocritical care use.
September 3, 2026 - What is EEG and Why it Matters: Basics and How to Read the Screen
This session will provide APPs and bedside clinicians with a practical framework to recognize normal versus abnormal EEG patterns and identify urgent and emergent findings. Participants will first review foundations and core concepts, followed by case-based learning and a Q&A session with the speakers.
PRICE PER SESSION:
NCS Member: $49
