Endorsed Meeting
International Conference on Spreading Depolarisations (ICSD)
December 8-11, 2025.
| 8:00 AM
Windsor, UK
On behalf of the Co-Operative Studies on Brain Injury Depolarisations (COSBID), the Local Organizing Committee and Program Committee, we wish you a warm welcome to the International Conference on Spreading Depolarisations 2025 (iCSD 2025), to be held in Windsor, UK between 8th and 11th December 2025. The Venue of the meeting will be the De Vere Beaumont Estate, Old Windsor, SL4 2JJ, UK.
Following the traditions of previous annual meetings of the COSBID group, iCSD 2025 will promote translational research on spreading depolarisation in acute brain injury and chronic brain disorders. Discussions about fundamental mechanisms of spreading depolarisation (SD) as well as ongoing and future applications at the bedside will be discussed. The goal of the iCSD conferences is to provide education on spreading depolarisations and present the latest discoveries within this growing field.
For iCSD2025 we have designed the programme to appeal to neurointensivists (including those in the UK contributing to TBI-Reporter), and to epileptologists, reflecting increasing recognition of the apparent (patho)physiological linkage of SDs and seizures.
iCSD 2025 will take place in Windsor, within the grounds of a long-established country estate, close to the historical heart of England for the past thousand years, Windsor Castle. Spreading depolarisations (SDs) are recognised as a strong candidate mediator of acute brain damage in patients receiving neurocritical care, whether for traumatic brain injury, ischaemic or haemorrhagic stroke, or aneurysmal subarachnoid haemorrhage.
