Requirements:
- Candidates must be MD, DO, or equivalent, BC/BE in Neurology and Neurocritical Care.
- NYSMD License
- Candidates must have completed or be eligible to complete UCNS or ABPN certification in Neurocritical Care.
JHMC is located in an important geopolitical location in New York City close to the JFK airport, being designated as a level I trauma center and a thrombectomy capable stroke center treating hundreds of stroke patients annually. The anticipated primary site of clinical practice will be at Jamaica Hospital Medical Center with 408 licensed inpatient beds, outpatient services, but would also be expected to give remote coverage to the other site.
Jamaica Hospital Medical Center has been accredited as the first and only Comprehensive Stroke Center (the highest designation of stroke care) in Queens, NY by the Joint Commission. In addition, we have been recognized as a “high performing” stroke center by US News and World Report and are a Healthgrades top 5 stroke center in New York state.
