At the June 26, 2026 Neurocritical Care Society (NCS) annual business meeting, the membership voted to approve the addition of a designated Pediatric Board of Director seat. In response to this change, NCS is seeking Pediatric Neurocritical Care leaders to fill one open position on the NCS Board of Directors.
The NCS Board of Directors works diligently throughout the year to identify and implement strategies to strengthen our society and the neurocritical care community. Individuals who serve on the Board of Directors will have the opportunity to guide the neurocritical care field and contribute to the strategic direction of NCS. We hope you will join us in advancing our vision and mission.
NCS is seeking nominations for one Director position:
View the duties and responsibilities of Directors. This position is a three-year term and will begin in October 2026.
NCS members can self-nominate or be nominated by another NCS member.
Ideal candidates for the NCS Board of Directors have the following attributes:
- Passion for the field of pediatric neurocritical care
- Dedication to the mission and vision of NCS.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills.
- Servant leader mentality.
Criteria for Nomination:
- NCS member in good standing
- At least five years of NCS membership
- Attendance a minimum of five NCS Annual Meetings
- Committee leadership (current or prior chair or co-chair)
- Demonstrated multi-disciplinary initiatives
- Service to NCS
All candidates who accept the nomination will be required to submit a current curriculum vitae (CV), Personal Statement, and a Letter of Recommendation.
The deadline for submitting nominations is Friday, July 10th.
