NCS 21st Annual Meeting

Congratulations on your acceptance to the Neurocritical Care Society (NCS) 23rd Annual Meeting in Montréal, Québec. All presenters are required to attend the annual meeting in person. There is no virtual poster or oral platform presentation option for 2025.

PLEASE NOTE: All communications will be sent to the author marked as the PRESENTING author in the original research abstract submission form. If the presenting author will change, please contact speakers@neurocriticalcare.org.

Critical Deadlines

May 30
Acceptance confirmation deadline. Log in to the Presenter Portal to complete Stage 2 to confirm your acceptance.
  • At least one (1) author on the accepted poster is required to confirm their participation in the NCS Annual Meeting by May 30. If you have requested publication in the NCS Journal Neurocritical Care during the submission process, failure to confirm participation by May 30 will result in the removal of your abstract from publication.
  • Registration information will be sent to authors once they confirm their acceptance.
June 17
Deadline to withdraw your abstract. 
  • If an accepted abstract will be presented identically at another meeting, the author will be required to withdraw from the NCS Annual Meeting by June 17. It is the responsibility of the author to ensure they are not in violation of another meeting’s policy when submitting to the NCS Annual Meeting
August 18

Presenter hotel reservation deadline.

September 18-21

NCS 23rd Annual Meeting

Poster Hall sessions will take place on Friday, September 19, 2025. More detailed information about when and where to set up your poster will be sent out closer to the meeting.  

Poster Guidelines

You are responsible for printing poster and bringing your poster to the NCS Annual Meeting. Please download and save the NCS Annual Meeting Poster Guidelines. Your printed poster should not exceed 90 inches wide by 42 inches high (90” width x 42” height) AND/OR should not exceed 228.6 centimeters in width by 42 centimeters in height (228.6 cm width x 106.68 cm height). Posters are required to adhere to these guidelines. You may use the NCS Annual Meeting PowerPoint Template for creating your poster (optional).  

 

Publication – Due May 30

At least one (1) author on the accepted poster is required to confirm their participation in the NCS Annual Meeting by May 30. If you have requested publication in the NCS Journal Neurocritical Care during the submission process, failure to confirm by May 30 will result in the removal of your abstract from publication.

Additionally, NCS is proud to offer grant opportunities to support the attendance of neurocritical care professionals at the 23rd NCS Annual Meeting. Grants for travel and family care are available to NCS members.

Poster Presenters are responsible for all registration, travel, housing, and additional fees.

 

Hotel Information – Due August 18

The housing deadline for the NCS room blocks is August 18. For more information, click here. You are responsible for all travel and housing costs and associated fees.

Meet the Poster Authors Sessions – Friday, September 19

Posters are required to have at least one (1) author attend the “Meet the Poster Authors” Session, stand in front of their poster for the full hour, and discuss their research with attendees. Please see the session details below and account for these requirements when registering for the annual meeting.

  • 4:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. ET
  • This session will include Distinguished Professor Rounds

Presenting authors will hang a physical poster in the Poster Hall and stand by their posters during the designated poster hall times listed above to converse with attendees and answer any questions. 

If you permitted NCS to publish your abstract in the online supplement of Neurocritical Care, your abstract will still be published. 

Distinguished Professor Rounds – Friday, September 19

Based on reviewer scores, the top 10% of posters will be selected to be part of Poster Distinguished Professor Rounds that will be held during poster hall hours on Friday, September 19, 4:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. PT. Distinguished Professors will receive a notification and further instructions, if selected.

Session & Additional Award Information

You are required to present your abstract as part of the oral platform session in person. There will be no virtual presentation option. Please refer to your specific acceptance email for your session information and any other individual details. Contact speakers@neurocriticalcare.org for your email to be resent.

Acceptance Confirmation & Additional Speaker Information – Due Friday, May 30

The deadline to confirm your oral platform acceptance and complete Stage 2 to provide your additional speaker information is Friday, May 30. If you have requested publication in NCS's journal, Neurocritical Care, during the submission process, failure to confirm by May 30, will result in the removal of your abstract from publication. Oral Abstract Presenters are required to upload their presentations from a USB flash drive in the Speaker Ready Room by 5:00 p.m. PT the day before your presentation. This will allow the onsite audiovisual team to ensure your presentation is correctly set-up for your session. Please plan for this requirement when registering.

Please note: You will still need to check in at the Speaker Ready Room even if you uploaded your PowerPoint in the speaker portal. Please see Speaker Ready Room dates and times below.
