Abstract Review Criteria
Submissions are peer-reviewed for scientific merit according to subject category and evaluated on:
- Importance and Relevance
- Does the work address an important neurocritical care question with potential impact?
- Originality and Innovation
- Does the submission present novel findings or an innovative approach?
- Scientific Quality and Clarity
- Are methods appropriate, results clearly presented and writing concise and well-organized?
Abstract submitters are required to select the most appropriate review category at the time of submission. Based on guidance from the NCS abstract co-chairs, abstracts may be reassigned to a more suitable category. NCS reserves the right to make minor editorial revisions, including grammar and spelling corrections, to enhance clarity and consistency of presentation.

Acceptance and Presentation Information
Decision Notifications
Acceptance notices will be sent to the Presenting Author listed in the submission form by Friday, July 10.
NCS recommends listing the Primary Author as the Presenting Author to streamline communication. Presenter changes may be requested after acceptance by contacting speakers@neurocriticalcare.org.
All listed authors are designated as contributors and will have access to the submission. To avoid confusion, only the Primary Author should make or request changes to the abstract.
Oral and Poster Presentations
Top-scoring submissions may be selected for Late-Breaking Scientific Oral Abstract Presentation (Platform Presentation). Acceptance is contingent upon completion of the Presenting Author’s financial disclosure by Tuesday, July 17.
If accepted as a poster: All authors and co-authors must disclose financial relationships and conflicts of interest on the printed poster.
Accepted poster presenters are responsible for:
- Poster production
- On-site setup and takedown
